It should come as no surprise to most people on the internet that the world has almost consumed all the IPv4 internet addresses and that we need to be moving to the new IPv6 standard one day.

Industry giant, Cisco, says that day is sooner than we think.

Following the collapse of ING, NetRegister has once again sent ALL .com.au domain holders a 3 page letter. The letter is just trying to scare Australian domain holders into transferring to their services.

Refer to  auDA  (the .au domain authority) for confirmation.

Check who your registrar is with  AusRegistry  (the .au domain governing agent).

Note that NetRegister should not be confused with NetRegistry who are an auDA accredited registrar.

On the 19th August 2002, popular domain name registrar, Internet Name Protection Pty Ltd, (trading as Internet Names Group and more commanly known as ING) was placed into Administration.

Please note that render.net.au does not use the services of ING and all of our customers domains are safe from losing recent payments for renewals.
